DescriptionHere is a really unique piece . This is from the classic Dr Strange and Dr Doom graphic novel from the late 80s . The book was produced in a similar way to DKR , as the colors were all done by water color painting over a blue line of the line art then an overlay of that line art was added above the paints (see additional image to see the paints alone) to shoot for the final published page. What’s even more interesting about this book and process is while Mike Mignola did the pencils , Mark Badger did the inks and the paintings! So you can definitely say this book is more badger than Mignola! Very interesting process they were using on these prestige formats back then. I really dig this pieces as it truly represents the published page in every way.Massive thank you to my pall Fisch who was able to secure these for me on the shirt tails of one of his massive deals! What we have is claimy
I travel to cons for the art Fisch sees
Everybody's looking Tormenting
Doctor Doom wants to use you
Jason D wants to buy art too
Jason D wants to amuse you
Jason D wants to be abused
Hang more art up, keep your Triumph, claiming all
Hang more up, claim it all, keep your head up, claim some more
Hang your art up, claim it all, buy Mignola, chat is on
Badger inks up, color on, hang your art up

Classic stuff from classic story, man. Those colors must look that much better in person. Also, a super unique piece in how it was made for publishing! Congrats!

This was stunning to see in person. A real painting-like feel to it. Congrats, buddy. And let's keep it rolling!

I love blueline pages. I have a few from Iron wolf that Mike drew. This one that top panel of the street scene is fantastic. Badger did a fantastic job coloring this book. Would love to track down one of his blue lines some day.
