Classic image of Superman confronting Batman in a duel for this title page drawn by Rich Buckler back in 1980.

When do you ever see Superman holding a gun????

This was one of the first "expensive" art pages that I bought over 20 years ago. I pushed myself to get it, because I was awestruck by the image and just had to have it.

Big Mahalo to Anthony Snyder for allowing me to do time payments to make it easier to get.

great page. love the drawing. Buckler is certainly under apprecited. the poses are unique and the image is perfect click bait type art that could have been a great cover too. thanks for opening up the vault and sharing some great works.

This is Buckler doing Adams and it started a few issues earlier. He was getting better with Giordano doing the same kind of inks, so Buckler would have some more experimental pages and poses. Great splash that would make one do a double take.

I've seen the sheriff do that trick a million times, Bats. Don't fall for it! I think the only thing that would make this splash cooler, would be to have a couple townsfolk running for the doors to get off the street. Heh. I love this image, it's just great older Superman and Batman work. Congrats!
