Description

This large and beautiful illustration was painted by Bob Peak for the 1963 Greyhound Corporation Annual Report brochure depicting the Greyhound Pavilion at the 1964 World's Fair with a family riding in one of the Greyhound "Escorter" vehicles you could rent to tour the fairgrounds. Apparently it was very expensive to rent and most visitors couldn't pay the price so it was discontinued during the second (and last) year of the fair. There was even a friction motorized toy of the Escorter you could purchase at the Greyhound Pavilion (see additional pictures).

Cool retro future piece by Peak! Man, you gotta find that friction car (the design on the box reminds me of the Flinstone's car)!

Wow, that's a mindblowingly cool Bob Peak paintig. Congrats! Never saw this before and it might be one of the best Peak's I've ever seen.
