DescriptionI can still remember my first Daredevil comic #30,which was when I first layed eyes on Gene Colans work.I was mesmerized at how fluid a figure could be drawn!How could anyone move like that on just a two dimensional plane piece of paper.The sleek muscular body of the Daredevil figure with contour lines seemed to be done with such fluidity, that he merely danced across the panels like Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly!Man I was hooked, probably like so many other kids my age at reading these books with such wonderful enthusiasm and fascination.How could anyone move,jump,flip and twist like that? It was such a great story to later find out about Daredevils secret identities as twin brothers,man that's some good story telling ! Thanks go to my friend Saul for this page.Social/Sharing |

We ain't admittin' nothin', Daredevil...other than this page is awesome! I've really learned to appreciate and love early Colan action pages. They are something else to see. And he takes all his usual dynamic angles that he makes work so well for him. A beaut. Big congrats!

Beautifully choreographed page--so much movement. Syd Shores is really an under-rated inker--perfect inks here!

Phenomenal DD page! Colan is so masterful here! Love the dynamic look of the characters, the perfectly choreographed action and the shifting angles of the POV!!! Great, great page!

Like all of the great Silver Age artists of the day, Genial Gene had a style all his own. About as good an action Daredevil page as you can get, beautiful!
