DescriptionGoing up! An incredibly rare example of Jose Ortiz's 'THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR'... and not only that...a cover! This is a real gem.This was originally supposed to be a cover for SCREAM! weekly in 1984, but the series was concelled before it could be published after only 15 issues, so it was put into the inventory. Then later in the 80s, The EAGLE weekly reprinted some SCREAM! material, especially 'THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR' which was the fan favourite. This cover was then used as the monthly reprint cover on 'The best of Eagle #2', as IPC/Fleetway attempted to emulate the success of their reprint 'The best of 2000ad'. The monthly reprint books had no budget for new art or material, so this cover art was pulled from the archive and repurposed. Art is on heavy art board, 31.5 x 39 cm. in good condition. £ 4500.00 pounds Social/Sharing |
