Description

Uh, wow. Few books made me feel as sophisticated as Camelot 3000. It was the first collected edition I ever bought. It all felt so ... grown up. And while that feeling doesn't stand the test of time, the book and especially its art does.

This is a small prelim (8 x 5) but packed with detail. You can see the actual layout that Brian went with in the second image. So much of his original idea survived just as he had sketched it.

An exciting moment in the final chapter where Arthur and his Knights try to storm Morgan's keep.

I was lucky enough to pick this up from Anthony Snyder in a fall 2022 Dueling Dealers show.

Gorgeous prelim by one of the true greats. Brian Bolland's work is unparalleled for its preciseness and its cleanness. And all that began with his detailed preliminaries. This one is a beauty. I love the top panel with the battering ram. Great pick-up!
