Description

Full confession: I stopped reading BPRD when Guy Davis came on to the series because I couldn't stand his Art style.

But... I really missed the characters and stories, and kept feeling like I was missing out on this growing Mignolaverse world, so after a few years I came back to the series. And, in the end, his style and expressive storytelling really grew on me.

I got this page because of its whimsy and character. It's also from a series that features Lobster Johnson, which is always fun.

Sidenote: One of the things I disliked the most about his work was his creature designs, but then it hit me that they just really creeped me out... and that's what they were supposed to do.

Guy certainly has a unique art style, especially for the monsters. But that's part of it's charm, and they're supposed to creep you out! Would be weird if they looked all huggable :-)
