Superman Unchained #8, page 28. Pencils by Jim Lee, inks by Scott Williams. As a Superman and Jim Lee fan, it doesn�t get much better than this page. Most pages I own have Lex Luthor front a center. This time, I�m happy he�s not the focal point. Jim Lee�s Superman has always been one of my favorites, so getting a page with a full body, 2/3 page shot of the Man of Steel, in his New 52 suit designed by Jim, was a huge win for me. Not to mention sharing the page with other huge characters in the Superman mythology, his wife, Lois Lane, her father, Sam Lane, Superman�s pal, Jimmy Olsen and, of course, his arch enemy, Lex Luthor. Lex is presenting Superman with the means of saving Earth from an incoming alien invasion. But there�s a catch. Taking the syringe he�s attached to Jimmy�s arm with super charge Superman�s cells, transforming him into the mother of all bombs. He�ll be able to stop the invasion, but it�ll cost him his life. Jim captures the seriousness of the moment, as well the the smug sense of victory on Lex�s face. What will Superman decide?

A classic with Jim Lee's new design for Superman's costume. The Lee and Williams team redefining the character and the audience was very game for it being one of the top selling books for the 75th anniversay of the character.

Great to see this piece here again. It was not easy to let this go but glad it found a great home. Love the iconic superman pose.
