DescriptionMark Tex Wolverine!!! As much as the 90s were made for Wolverine it was also made for Mark Texeira , so when he had his run on the main title it was a match made in Heaven! And also smack dab in my nostalgia zone! So getting a nice example has been on my to do list for a while. So when my good friend Karim decided to let this one go I made it happen! Couple things about this page that set it apart for me. First it is Tex pencils and inks.. letting him unfurl his fury with no one else’s influence. Secondly it’s splashy and a unique layout as you have a massive wolverine figure in the center then even the panels above and below are being broken. Thirdly it’s wolverine in the weapon x get up (not a lot of published options for that out there) with Sabertooth and Silver Fox in the page too! Wolvey and Sabertooth on the same page … always a treat! Thanks Karim for letting me have this one.Social/Sharing |

That central image is really something. I agree with you, the page being all Tex is unique and adds a lot.

Really like how it feels so layered with the the stacked characters in the middle and the different inking techniques on each! Congrats, man!

Oh my--Stunner of a Wolverine page by the phenomenal Mark Texeira. The rendering of that middle panel is pure gold! Love the realism that Texteira used here. The helmet looks so real I could almost believe I could reach out and yank it off Wolvie's head so he can take out his tormenters! meticulous pencils and intricate inks really make the page come to life! Great pick-up--I'm jealous!
