It's Nothing to Sneeze At, circa 1948
Pencil on paper
21 x 17-3/4 inches (53.3 x 45.1 cm) (sheet)
Signed lower center

The final painting was reproduced as figure 169 in Gil Elvgren All His Glamorous American Pin-Ups by Charles G. Martignette and Louis K. Meisel, Taschen Books, 1996. It was also reproduced in Pin-Up Poster Book, The Elvgren Collection, (Collectors Press, 1995)

Included in this lot is a 1948 Calendar for Fremont Bottling Works which includes the final illustration as well as a postcard, additional calendar tearsheet, and a photo of the Model. A copy of the Pin-Up Poster Book, The Elvgren Collection accompanies this lot.

Quite a masterfully envisioned and executed. The pencils are soft where it needs to be to gracefully present the delicate body parts.
