DescriptionWhat better way to scratch that 80s vintage itch than a Buscema panel page from early in Alpha Flight?Five horizontal panels in this one give is a really nice snippet of the story: 1. Omg there’s a lady with a samurai sword 2. Oh, Wolverine is here, ok we should be ok 3. Dialog - but look at wolverine’s claws 4. more dialog, more claws!! 5. Wait, what…. She is here for Wolvie’s bones? This should be interesting Picked this guy up on CAFs show - dueling dealers from Romitaman - thanks mike Social/Sharing |

Fabulous Alpha Flight page by Sal Buscema! I love how Sal used five horizontal panels on one page, instead of using the usual six panel format. Very innovative.

Brodie : Should I call you Logan, Weapon-X?
Jay : No, *Wolverine*! Shnickty shnickty shnoine!
Brodie : See, what he's doing is imitating Wolverine's berserker attack with his adamantium claws.
T.S. Quint : I never would have guessed.
Jeff Wedding : No imitation going on with this page.

Alpha flight 33 (grail Mignola cover with Magneto and the xmen ) and issue 34 were great reads. Love the intro of Lady Deathstrike prereavers and the lord dark wind back story. Congrats on a great page. I think you accidentally put issue 37 in the title.

Dang, thanks for the head's up. I was so focused on spelling Gerry's name right, I totally dropped the ball 😳☺️🤗🤭🤭

Lots of editor notes with the dialogue for each panel. Marvel Method at it's finest by some of the bullpen's brightest! Three lines from Wolverine is enough? Yup.

Such a fun page. I remember buying this from Burkey for $125 and later selling it for a whopping $175. Good times!

As a teen, I hated those issues which looked ugly to my young eye, especially after the Byrne run. I love the textured Buscema/Talaoc combo as an adult, on AF but even more so on Hulk.

Great issue and great layout. Not sure I get Taloc's inks on Buscema, but I will concede that they provide a different feel to Sal's clean pencils.

Oooh, nice! Sal Buscema doing and early Alpha Flight page with Wolvie popping the claws?!?!? That's a home run piece! Congrat Scott! I love it when you post Sal Buscema art - keep em coming (just don't start buying Hulk - I'd be dead in the water ;)

I've come for your bones...How great would that be for the start of a horror movie? But just another day in the life of Mr Wolvie. Sal and Talaoc was such a great pairing. I loved them on Hulk, and they look great here, too. Such a gritty style combination. I love the all horizontal panels choice, it really takes the scene home. Great find. Congrats!

I am confused, not. Shes here to get boned by Logan...No, she wants his bones. Worse double entendres than a carry on film. Still, this is one of the better, post Byrne issues with quality artwork. I gave up reading around issue 60, by which time it was total crap.

I love a good face off, especially when it's Wolverine and a Samurai!
