Description

This one's a bit of a mystery. It was first published as the cover of Air Ace 377 (February 1968) with a Spitfire pasted over the Blenheim. It was later stripped, cropped, and published without the Spitfire as the back cover of the 1979 Air Ace Holiday Special. I believe that the painting along with its pilot portrait were originally intended for a feature on fighter pilots in a different title.
