Description

This is the original hand-crafted overworld map created for the Dragon Quest / Dragon Warrior NES game.

The map was created by photographing the screen hundreds of times, cutting up those photos, and pasting them together by hand. This took the artist hundreds of hours.

The map was then photographed for the final image.

Polaroid film on board.

Wow! This image is seared into my brain from my childhood. Dozens of hours, if not more, staring at this map when I played the game!
