DescriptionYet another Art Days of Christmas 2022! Another gift from Eric Delos Santa! He wants me to bring up that it’s a belated 2021 Christmas gift he gave me in 2022. If you wanted for people to know you’re late with presents, I’ll oblige. It's Chris Giarusso's take on the Transformers #1 cover on a sketchcover. It has deep marker colors that bleed through this thick sketchcover stock. I don't know what gave him the idea that I would like this, but I do. Social/Sharing |

Great gift. Just needs you and Eric smiling in background.

Holy shit, this is AWESOME! Shockingly, this is the very first Transformers #1 cover homage I've ever seen. I think collectors are just conditioned to think that if you ask for a cover recreation it has to be one of a standard pen and ink cover. Now, if only the original Sienkiewicz cover would finally rear its beautiful head....

No, no, no! You're supposed to explain this in your description. You didn't get two presents for 2022. I bought the Hembeck earlier in 2021 and it was meant to be your gift last Christmas. But towards the end of the year, I saw this piece and thought of you (for reasons hinted in Ruben's comment). I suppose I could have just given them to you in the order they were purchased, but for some reason I thought you might like this more than the Hembeck. So I gave you this first and saved the Hembeck for Christmas 2022. By the way, thanks for choosing such a lovely photo. Not sure which looks worse, me or my car. LOL

I wish Michael Bay's Transformers looked more like this than what we got.

I absolutely love this! Transformers #1 was one of the first comics I ever owned and Giarusso's style works perfectly homaging the original!

I rode on that red sleigh! I thought I was going back to the future. Santa gave Eric him a BMW for hot dates but i didn't qualify

Ha! Don't read anything into that Larrry. If I could afford to pay Art Adams what you paid him, I'd drive the Bimmer all over the place and not worry about saving gas with the old, beat up, economy car. Besides, luxury cars are vastly over rated. I had lunch with another recent visitor at the same restaurant I took you to, and he drove us in his Tesla with heated seats. But when I closed my eyes, it just felt like I was sitting in my old Nissan. As for hot dates, let's just say that it will probably be a lot easier finding my 100th Adams piece. Looking forward to your next visit buddy (and we'll take the Bimmer next time).

This is excellent. So joyful and fun. Reflecting the childishness we all experienced as kids reading this and playing with the toys.

Nice homage, and I'm diggin' them colors! The pencil only Dinabot at the bottom is a nice touch, too :) Congrats!

The pencil part is printed as part of the trade dress to serve like a corner box image.

Ah, gotcha! I think it's cool that I didn't automatically catch that! Fun piece!

So cute, the little laser beak...and great detail too in the shading and the colour brings the scene to life.
