For my money, Season of Mists is the best Sandman story arc. And who is better qualified than Michael Kaluta to distill the narrative into a single image? Everyone's here for the party (including baby Daniel reaching for the bottom of the key).

Since a lot of the artists who worked on that series were obviously inspired by the Studio mates, it's good to see an actual member take a serious swing at the subject matter.

Kaluta is SO TALENTED! This piece is absolutely amazing, even more impressive is he's a better person. One of my best convention experiences was spending a great deal of time watching him draw and chatting with him about his art and career. I became a fan for life that day! All that to say, congrats on landing such a beautiful piece from a true master of his craft!
