DescriptionWolverine and Kitty don't care for doors and Michael Golden doesn't skimp on details.Signed and dated 2011 (not 1991 as I first thought) on the back, and as far as I can tell, an unpublished piece. Feb 2024 edit: I got to speak with Michael at OAX and he confirmed that this was intended to be Wolverine First Class cover but never saw print, and was then used as a con print. Social/Sharing |

Wow that's the good stuff!! I think I commented on your Pearson piece that it was one of my favorite renditions of Wolverine and you can obviously see the DNA of that here. The dutch angle and the detailed pipe work that acts as speed lines gives this piece so much energy. Awesome pick up!

I believe this was intended to be a cover for Marvel "kids line", most likely Wolverine First Class.

This piece is dated 1991 from Michael's signature on the back so I don't think that aligns - Wolverine: First Class came out in 2008.

This great pinup perfectly captures the personality difference between Kitty and Wolvie. She phases through the wall while he comes crashing through like a berserker. I love the care Golden took with the background too. Congrats!

Wow! Jawdropping pinup by Michael Golden. Love the ferocity of Wolverine here. And the surprising entrance of Kitty Pryde walking through the wall is a total plus. Great piece!
