DescriptionAfter many many years, I finally have a page with everyone's favourite mutant, Gateway. This series was made to showcase his awesomeness, and lack of body hair. Maybe he waxes? Silently. Thanks JP! Social/Sharing |

Man, Bucky went to TOWN on this one! Congrats!
Yes, he most definitely did. The layouts and figures are great, but seeing the page in person and you can clearly see how much more Bucky added to the art. For a tracer.

Peak Bachalo and Bucky! And yes, Gateway should have gotten his own book. And Marvel Universe movie. It'd be bigger than the Avengers!

Iconic team is page from such a great and historic issue. Great find! That lower panel is so epic and full of nostalgia.

Everyone is super shiny for this first issue with the glossy paper and the chromium cover that could be used to start a campfire when aimed correctly. Bachalo really played up to it with lots for Buckingham to ink.

Yeah, I guess that's a pretty good Bachalo/Buckingham example. Needs more Chamber though. ;-)

Good grief - that Buckingham/Bachalo team-up was full of non-stop amazing, wasn't it? What a combo, but here the inks -really- take center stage. Incredible rendering on the villain in every panel, but panel 3, especially (with all the ground and shadow texture thrown in there), is simply superb. And then the move to make the border around panel 4 as thick and bold as that, to herald our heroes exploding onto the scene through a gorgeous and sparkly gateway...? Brilliant. Absolutely phenomenal work. Congrats, Simon! This is killer!

Unbelievably cool page from Generation X #1. The scenes are so well drawn, they shimmer from the sweat poured into them. This is Chris Bachalo and Mark Buckingham at their best. Congrats on a superb pick-up!
