Description

This is the first Romita Jr. / Williamson page I ever bought. I can remember buying it from a dealer at the old Rosemont Convention Center in Chicago. I bought a few things that day, and I was priding myself on doing really well with bargaining on prices, getting myself some good deals. Then I saw this page, and I asked the dealer the price on it. It was $50.00. (this was a looong time ago, obviously) And then, when he told me the price, I gleefully blurted out, "I'LL TAKE IT!" Then, remembering that I was supposed to be bargaining, I composed myself and asked, "Uh, can you go down on that a little?" Both the dealer and my friend (artist Phil Hester) burst out laughing at my "way too late" negotiating skills. That said, the dealer was amused enough to give me a Marshall Rogers page from the Coyote graphic novel, for free, because I'd made him laugh. So I guess it worked a little?
