DescriptionThis is a prelim in blue pencil by Don Heck for the epilogue to the Supergirl story in Superman Family #194, published by DC Comics in 1979. Note the inset panel at the top was moved from the far left to the center in the published version. The perspective on the bottom left panel was also changed. (See Additional Images.)I like the bottom two panels of the prelim better than the published version, but I like the inset panel better in the center of the page, although it changes the story. In the published version, the inset panel just gives the impression the Superboy robot is "waking up," but the prelim makes it look like the Superboy robot was waiting on Snapper to fall asleep. There are no editorial notes on the prelim, so I don't know what prompted Heck to change it when he drew the final version. Social/Sharing |
