DescriptionPeter de Sève is one of the best artists/illustrators/animators working today. If you don’t know his work, you’ve been sleeping under three Bushmiller rocks. I’m not sure that there is an equal to Peter’s work today, whether his incredible animation character designs, or his gorgeous New Yorker covers. He has a brilliant understanding of form and movement, capturing it in volumetric ways, all the while maintaining a light touch. Brilliant. This small drawing, measuring 8½”x 5½”, appears to have been sent to a fan. Drawn on Peter’s stationary, we see an unassuming guy about to have the surprise of his life. Drawn in ink, likely marker, the sketch has wonderful movement and energy. A terrific little example of Peter’s work. $100.00 + 12.50 Priority Mail shipping.Social/Sharing |
