Description

Not a cover showing off Invincible per se but one that shows Mark getting blasted by some crazy energy. By having him outlined in the mid foreground, it sets up a really nice contrast between him and the energy bolt, as well as a good depth between him and Eve in the foreground. The lines radiating out from the staff and the white out effect around it really does present well on the actual work as well.

Spectacular pipework. The energy beams are wonderfully drawn and inked to both explode from the art as well as draw ones eye circularly. Congrats!

One of the more outstanding covers in the run without having an iconic shot. It relies mainly on the artistic attributes with dramatic staging and our heroes in peril. Ottley is precise and meticulous, but does not let the art become clinical by injecting so much tension!
