DescriptionI recently picked up this beautiful original art splash piece (page 1) by Ed McGuinness, featuring Marvel’s first hero, Namor, the Sub-Mariner.The detail on this splash is really something you need to see in person to fully appreciate. This gorgeous piece is a tribute to Jack Kirby’s work on the 1st page of Fantastic Four Annual 1. Social/Sharing |

Subby knows how to make a grand entrance! Like a royal ceremonial procession, he wants to be seen and command respect. However, if he tries this during rush hour on a Friday, I'm going ninja on his turtles.

McGuinness' pencils shine in this piece - Namor looks the majestic king he is. Great piece!

Very well said! Very few times has Namor been made to look quite as majestic as he has been made here!

Just took my kids to the aquarium yesterday so these turtles are fresh in my head :) Dig McGuinness's take here, as well as of a majestic Namor in his element! Congrats!

Thank you kindly! And the detail on those turtles is so strong that they almost take away from Namor himself! Almost..
