DescriptionHulk is back and in a big way! I think we can all agree, the last series provided some cool visual moments but overall fell short. Now they have brought the green guy back to Earth and infused horror themes that I’ve missed dearly. Not much else needs to be said about the art except I believe Nic Klein was born to draw Hulk. Just look at the scale he was able to capture and the musculature is a sweet blend of McGuinness and Deodato! I’m a sucker for a close up shot of the Hulk clearly annoyed by puny humans and the shadowy grimace in the last panel.Ready for the Hulk to show us once again why he’s The Strongest One There Is! That really stood out to me as well! Easy to lose the other character in the image!

For most characters, that last panel would be called "Worm's Eye" but with the Hulk that's pretty much just "Normal Eye". And don't get me started on whether that was Chuck Norris instead of the Hulk.

Great point! Hahaha that would be the crossover of all crossovers...

Ooh, congrats on being quick enough on the Felix site trigger! Nice tones throughout as per usualy with Klein, and that last panel's extreme upward perspective absolutely adds to the massiveness of the Jade Giant! Congrats!

So imposing! Klein is a perfect match of artist and character. First panel is like spotting Big Foot in the wild.

If that's not the classic Bigfoot shot then I don't know what is, mystery solved!

Saw this on last nights CAF - love that top panel - the wash effect on the trees in the background and all the textures and line weights on the background of that top panel are just beautiful

Thanks for checking it out! I was really grabbed by the bottom panel but the more I look at it the top one definitely shines with everything you mentioned.

Nic Klein was born to draw the Hulk. This page is one of the best from the first issue and really showcases just how badass Hulk is going be in this upcoming series. Love the angles Klein uses to show just how powerful and frightening this Hulk can be. Gorgeous use of ink washes give the page weight and depth. Great pick-up!
