DescriptionThis was a massive pickup for me and I must give a big thanks to Jason at ES for making this happen as part of their holiday sale!I’ve been motivated and lucky enough to pick up several pages from this too short run up till now. However, having a cover wasn’t really on my radar. I had eyed this one awhile back but it wasn’t the right time and kind of forgot about it. To see if was still available when I was ready to make it happen was great as we all know that’s not always the case, especially with how fast things move. So here sits Deadpool King of the Monsters on his throne on top of the former monster king! The dynamic duo of Bachalo and Townsend really shine on this piece and I was lucky enough to get a little doodle on this book by Bachalo during Heroes ‘22! Social/Sharing |

It was super fun and wacky and everything you want a Deadpool book to be! The Sandoval art towards the end didn't really fit the character in my mind but how often as fans do we get everything we want. Thanks so much!

Oh, sure - a brilliant black and white original piece that was used as the cover to a #1 and a trade paperback... but it's also the basis of a FUNKO figure (which would probably be FAR more interesting to Deadpool himself :) )?!? Now THAT is rarified air, my friend! Absolutely fantastic (even iconic?) cover to this really fun and memorable run: what a great piece, and I'm delighted by the story of it being there waiting (sitting regally, even) when you were ready to pull the trigger! Joy! Sincere congrats, Kelsey, and happy 2023!

Thanks dude! I was really happy to finally bring it home! It's interesting to see what they changed and added in post, especially moving the eyeball 🤷🏼♂️ likely one of the few opportunities I'd have to own a cover by such a dynamic pairing of Bachalo and Townsend! Happy New Year excitied to see what art comes our way!
