When it's this complete of a piece, this could stand on its own as a great illustration.

This house advertisment works the way it is supposed to -- it immediately captures the reader's interest with its arresting images and seems to lay out an entire world of wonder that the reader is invited to join. Congratulations on this beautiful artwork!

Looking at your new collection of covers and house ads, I think, perhaps, that I should have paid more attention to this series when it came out (I have the barest of memories of it, mostly the house ads as I'm sure I never picked up the comic). Lay seamlessly blends the various artistic styles of classic book illustrations with the more cartoony look of Scott Shaw's Zoo Crew comic. Looking at it with older eyes, it's quite the artistic feat.
