DescriptionJudge Dredd laying down the law, by legendary artist (and Dredd co-creator) Carlos Ezquerra! A lot of what I like about Dredd is on this page, including Judges on Lawmasters, dealing out justice in the Cursed Earth with Daysticks and Lawgivers. On the published page,I appreicate that some lettering was included by Ezquerra (BDAMBDAM!) and Dredd’s speech in the final panel is perfect: “There’s no escape from the law, creep!”.I noticed that the third panel from this page (page 5) was also used as the last panel on page 4 - the motor vehicle and surrounding landscape was used, but the creeps were added and Judges removed - see attached. I enjoy finding/seeing these types of production details. Social/Sharing |

The Ezquerra world building and figure work accomplishes exactly what you need to know about this literal police state and it does it with high energy visuals. The dynamic beatdowns and those paddy wagons drawn in perspective are superb.
