Description

This is soooo beautiful!!! The final painted key artwork to the advance movie poster (so the artwork was actually completed in 1984) for the 1985 Disney movie „Return to Oz“. The movie, which opened in cinemas June 21st 1985, was based on the L. Frank Baum novels “The Marvelous Land of Oz” (1904) and “Ozma of Oz” (1907). The art covers almost the complete artboard which measures an incredible 97,5cm x 63,5cm…please take a look at the close-ups to really appreciate the art…

The Struzan creativity coes into play with this spectacular design! It looks so impressive with all the hidden secrets within! There might even be a portal leading to more Three Stooges Plates that need identification!

Wow! Struzan really played up the Art Nouveau influences that were in John R. Neill's original illustrations for those Oz books. Lovely.

ah, this is so beautiful! I love Art Nouveau style and trying to build an interior around me from that era. You don't see that often comic art matches Art Nouveau designs, this is superb! :-)
