I thought this year I would do something a bit different for my birthday commission.

My habit has been to do something Justice Society related, but for several years I have been looking for just the right artist to do a reinterpretation of a Tales to Astonish covert.

Tom Morgan has been posting commissions on his Facebook page over the past year and I immediately knew he would be the right artist for this reimagined cover.

The concept was to show Hank Pym in his evolving uniforms throughout his Silver Age tenure.

I pretty much kept to chronological order with one exception.

I switched Hank's Goliath Guise with his Bob Powell designed TTA #65-69 look.

The reasoning was simple I am a huge fan of that design and thought by making that design last it would have more prominence and I was correct as seen by Tom's incredible work.

I could note be happier with the commission, Tom did an incredible job capturing the feel of that era and best of all Tom gave the TTA #65-69 mask the perfect Kirby design.

I look forward to working with Tom again and plan to debut a few Justice Society related character commissions Tom will have done for me in time for JSAtober 2021.

Of course my thanks also extend to the adorable one who every year gifts me with an incredibly personal commission.

If every birthday brought a treasure like this, I'd get some fake IDs and relive my youth with cakes and commissions!
