DescriptionAvenging Spider-Man 15.1Art by Paco Medina Marvel Comics - December 26, 2012 This is a big one! This is the big reveal and first full look at Superior Spider-Man in his superior costume with all the subtle updates that Otto-Peter made to the suit. The inks and buildings were done digitally. I'm thrilled to connect this page with the page before with Otto-Peter suiting up (HERE)! This issue was released the same week as Amazing Spider-Man #700 and led directly into Superior Spider-Man #1. Superior Spider-Man also appeared on the last page of ASM #700 in the new "Superior" costume (see image below). I loved this issue-ending line from writer Chris Yost, "Doctor Octopus is dead. Long live the superior Spider-Man!" The perfect lead into the Superior Spider-Man series. Social/Sharing |

Awesome George. Fits perfectly in your collection. I really enjoyed the superior spidey run. Fun to see hid interactions with the xmen and peters with the sin six. Congrats

I agree! And I actually prefer this version of the superior costume over the second version even though I like both a lot.

I've picked up a few over the years but mostly modern firsts. I have an appreciation for them especially if it was a big or fun reveal from a book I was actively reading. When it's done well it's a special moment when we get that new character or new costume reveal.

Fantastic pick up George. Loved the Superior Spider-Man run so to get this is HUGE IMO.

Seriously, man, LOVE it. Great pose, and love that touch of the extended clawed toe on the left foot. Helluva way to introduce the Superior Spider-Man, and launch him into his new series! Big congrats, brother!

This is still the greatest thing to happen to Spider-Man in recent memory, in my opinion. This storyline was truly exceptional. It was basically Spidey's Knightfall. Congrats on securing the most significant piece from the story.
