DescriptionWell, here's a nice piece of business.Action! Intercom System! Explosion! Recliner! Early Sandman that sowed the seeds in Gaiman's fertile brain. Yes please! Brute and Glob join the Brocktoon club! Is Dr. Spider REALLY dead? Also, my friend Kavi owns the title splash from this story. Cool beans! Social/Sharing |

Gotta love a good Bond-esque, watery cave hideaway. Fun end page!

Very cool early issue of The Sandman by the great Ernie Chan. Added bonus for being the final page of the issue

That is a super fun page! Love the faces and animated action, and that curmudgeony operator under the cake bell is wonderful

You also get a bit of Kirby's sensibilities by having his primary inker during this time period embellishing over Chan's pencils. Fun stuff!

It's a crime that Neil Gaiman didn't have Morpheus battle Dr. Spider. It would have been epic, just like this page!

Sandman’s running in place
When the dream is gone
Doctor Spider escape
I kiss submarine goodbye
But down imputs you know
Oscillating high
The art is Ernie Chan’s own
When style meets style
Royer’s Kirby ink strong
I frame a page to my wall
The intercom call
But I give you it all
This is a Sandman I love
And I Brute anything
To get Neil into my world
And Gob art within
It's alright, I will spend
Over and over again
What do I do?

You guys should get your pages together for lunch. I am sure they would enjoy an afternoon out.

This is awesome and way too much fun!! Something great in every panel, but I am quite partial to the little guy in the bottom left panel. I don't know who he is, but I'm pretty sure he went on to fight the turtles.
