DescriptionBeware the Man with the Stolen Soul--StalkerYippee-Ki-Yay, my very first Ditko page! Took awhile cause it had to be Stalker or Machine Man, since they rule my 70's Ditko reading (also with some Shade the Changing Man). I really couldn't be happier that Stalker is a built in twofer with those beautiful inks by Woody! I'd be happy with any page from the series but really love Steve & Wally's army of fallen heroes, with all their distinct armor types, and how Stalker enters the nether realms of the demon D'grth in search of his soul, only to be put upon by D'grth's imp guide, fun stuff. That really is stunning. Ditko was really on form, and to have the clean, perfect inks of Wood on top is incredible. I love the background detail, with the piles of bones snaking into the distance. Fabulous.

Don't see many of these! What impresses me most about this page is the cleanness of definition in the inks, and then the detail, of course. Ditko and Wood made a great team, even more so than Kane and Wood, IMO. Congrats!

Great piece !! Even though Ditko's DC titles were short-lived, I like to think he was happy drawing them.

I always thought Stalker was the best combination of Ditko and Wood. Definitely better than the Jungle Jim for Charlton and arguably better than anything they did together for Tower. Great page! Congratulations!

The artwork and story unfurls like an ancient manuscript with poems of mysticism and adventure set in fantasy.
