Oliff was certainly given a challenge to push the limits of what colors were available an achievable at that time. Delicate and measured tones add depth and hint at the rapid expansion of mass.

Oh boy! Tetsuo is not happy in that bottom panel. This really is a delight to see. Brings back many memories. Huge congrats!

Well that is a keeper. Very nice, and what an intense last panel. I'm impressed by the Akira color guides you are able to find, you're getting a very nice collection.

Thanks Matt for giving me access to one. This one in particular was in a colelction since the nineties.

Amazing art and motive from the cult manga/anime, the fine lines even look a little like Moebius art :)

Phenomenal! I'm blown away by this color guide by Steve Oliff! The emotion that's conveyed when color is applied to the linework is mindblowing! Look at that bottom panel--It's so cool it's crazy!
