DescriptionI am so excited to finally post this piece!! Paul Smith was one of the best artists in the 80s, I know how much everyone loves his X-Men, but to me, this is a stunning, memorable cover!! What's not to like about this one? I love the pose on Falcon, this cover just makes you want to pick up the comic and find out who or what the Falcon is fighting! A huge thank you to Jason D'Ambrosio and Paul Smith himself for helping me get this piece, it's already hanging proudly on my wall!!Social/Sharing |

Paul Smith's short but brilliant career at Marvel took everyone by surprise. His simple, almost animation like illustrations were so full of action and personality that he left an indelible mark on the memories of comic art appreciators that has lasted more than 40 years...

You're exactly right. This is what a comic cover is supposed to do. Make you want to pick up the book and see inside.

A gorgeous cover to an underrated little mini-series. PMS really pulls off the heroic beaten-but-not-broken pose perfectly!
It's too bad that he felt the need to sign it in the image area, though...

That's the price you pay. He dated my page 2017 before he sent it.

Okay, THIS is my vote for piece of the year (so far!). Not only hasthis always been a beautiful, classic Paul Smith cover, but it is so exciting to see it appear for the first time in the 42 years since it was published. Perhaps best of all, you have (FINALLY) presented it with the absolute QAUALITY that everyonbe should always present all their art with. THIS scan pays tribute to the incredible piece of art that it is. Enhorabuena!

This is making my PMS flare up! The best part IMO is the plaster over the bricks highlighting Falcon.

Gorgeous cover, Alberto! Wow. One of the few images I think of immediately when I think "Falcon". Sam down but far from out! Huge congrats!
