Description*splash*I'm going to sound like a broken record, but the scan really doesn't do this justice. A strong use of ink-wash and contrast brings the water to life as Levi sinks and lands with all the mass a human body should have. As he moves away from the light and towards salvation, the water above still into a rain-ripple calm that belies the growing storm. No, Marcus is not in my head at all. Social/Sharing |

I not worried, Madison will save him. I wonder if they will digitally remove Daryl Hanna's bottom in future dvd releases of the movie.

Absolutely stunning page, M L. Going from the exhaled air bubbles in panel 1 to the (reversed color) rain drops in panel 5, with that gorgeous panel 4 (I can't get over that lighting there)... Such a beautiful piece. Mega-congrats, M L - this is a wonder!

From the air bubbles reaching the surface at top, to the rain drops hitting the surface at bottom. From the water's murkiness behind all the inset panels, to the progressively sinking Levi as he hits the bottom, this page is nothing but illustrative technique. I realize I may be biased, but I'm also honest and I have to say that this is one of many examples of the artist elevating the artform.

I love the layout of this page. It makes me wonder why I don't have a Perkins in my gallery. Congrats.

The use of the ink wash to highlight the light effect of going underwater, and how the panels bring you further down into the darkness, is just masterful. Great page and congrats!
