Sword and sorcery with futuristic sci-fi brought in a more mature audience as was the trend of the early part of the decade. This was one of the more popular non superhero titles of the 70's and had a level of class by name dropping H.G. Wells and War of the Worlds that Marvel exploited to great effect.

wow - I just sold my cover to 22. this was the second comic I ever bought and I wondered if this cover was out there. So cool to see it survived. I am very jealous.
