CLAREMONT - BYRNE - AUSTIN --- THREE OF A KIND This legendary trio changed definetely THE UNCANNY X-MEN run. Nothing to say. Nothing to add. Everybody knows. The page has all any fan could ask. It's full of the Byrne-Austin style. It's also a perfect example of Claremont's story-telling capability. Have you seen how beautiful looks Ororo? As a collector I feel quenched... I don't need anything else... for now ;) "Well, I am Storm, monster... and I resist you! And I will not be destroyed!" ORORO MUNROE PS. Issues 120-121 were the first full appearance of Alpha Flight. It is also the first appearance of Department H. Social/Sharing |

I have the honor of inaugurating the comments of this incredible piece belonging to one of the best collections USA in Spain. A superb example of the best Byrne, the best serie and the best period. Many congratulations for the acquisition, few, very few can boast of even approaching these levels. Enjoy it my friend.

Page 2 and we're all set to fight! Vindicator is as iconic as Captain Canuck, Wolverine, Justin Bieber, Ryan Reynolds, and Tim Hortons as Canadian imports! The trio of creators created Marvel magic! Cyclops' visor lines are cool done by hand. The hand panel and the panel after are Byrne staging at his finest. All brought home by the Austin inks.

I see the way it is. He lands in Canada and just thinks "what the heck, let's just break all the doors"'. This is why the sentinels were created. Gets cold up here. We need to protect our doors.

There 'tis! In all its glory, shining like the sun! Unreal example from this...semi imporant run ;) Got lotsa team members, killer moment, awesome storytelling...yup, this one's got it all as they say. And I LOVE Byrne's Storm, and she's here! That Cyke head shot at the bottom left can't be beat, either. With some zipatone, baby! What a way to close out 2022. Sincere congrats, Toni, and hope you had a great holiday season!

Collectors can argue all day long about who the all time great art teams are. And they would probably argue even more about who is at the top of that list. But I really don't know if it gets any better than Byrne and Austin on X-Men. Anyway, I am not here to argue. Only to admire this gem of a page. Congratulations!
