DescriptionWalking into the new year with excitement and optimism and some stunning art from Laurie Conley. Happy new year!I learned about Laurie Conley's work on Instagram. I fell in love with her intricate line work and the whimsical feel of her art. This piece was done for the Jack The Radio issue 2 music comic magazine, which was released at Heroes Con in 2023. I was thrilled she was open to the characters and concept and I love how she worked so much emotion and story into this single image. She did a wonderful job also working in the lettering, her trademark ghosts, and a nod to CREATURES with the buried t-rex skeleton. Check out more of Laurie's work and her process shots on her Instagram page here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CucGBrvOK5r/?img_index=9 Social/Sharing |

Its nice to see Jack relax and unwind from his wild sailing and whaling days.

Very nice theme as Jack plays his songs for the universe and for the dead spirits as his audience. The starfield background and the lush grasslined environment speaks to our place in the universe where the music is inspired from.

The detail is gorgeous and you can see the amount of time that went into this piece. There are so many wonderful elements to this and they flow together seamlessly. Especially love the T-Rex fossil!

whimsical feel is a perfect way to describe it! really nice shading/tones, beautiful linework - fantastic illustration and even better that it was for a Jack The Radio collab, great stuff George!

Very, very cool piece without any wasted space. The ghosts rule.

Saw this as the update thumbnail (with Jack The Radio cropped out) and thought "that has to be a George piece." Of course it was! Love this one for sure!!
