DescriptionWell before the current influx of Star Wars content and even the prequel series, it was the comics (and novels) of the extended universe that held over a large segment of Star Wars fans.I think you could argue that Dark Empire miniseries is still amongst the most significant from the comic works, especially so with its art! This beautiful page comes from the story 'Confrontation on the Smugglers Moon' The Emperor's Citadel looms in the background like a monolith, a dark side all seeing eye. The contrast of size to the approaching Millennium Falcon in the last panel is especially nice! I definitely recommend checking this arc out, also good luck Jeremy. 10x15 done in ink and watercolor. I wish that Cam had worked more in American comics. Incredible art!

This is stunning - kind of channels blade runner vibe into star wars, but it works!

Congrats on winning this page! It is a great example from the series. And Cam's painted pages are always better in person, more than any scan can capture.

A great revival of the Star Wars property when the movies were far in the rear view mirror. Dark Horse went all in with sequel stories to the trilogy that reinvigorated interest the franchise for the 90's. Dorman covers and Kennedy painted interiors were the high class treatment that made everyone notice. Fantastic page showing how Kennedy used sci-fi designs from Star Wars and other classic influences together.

Love the colors on this! In the days before computer coloring, it was so special to see painted art in comics. Cam's watercolors really knocked me out on this series--this page is a great example of how he used color as a form of storytelling (as opposed to simply matching appropriate colors to whatever it is he's drawing) Beautiful stuff!
