I set up a pre-con sketch with Matt for NYCC. We had a brief conversation over instagram, and I was able to pick this up from him on Day 1. I gave him a short list of options and he picked one that he was NOT familiar with - to the extent that he had to look up who Boba Fett was.

To approach a project with such enthusiasm, and to then also knock the ball out of the park, is very impressive. Lesniewski's style is uniquely his and it's fascinating to look at all the textures he can achieve while maintaining a consistent technique.

Matt also did a lovely sketch for me in his creator owned trade, The Freak, which I'm looking forward to digging into.

Also, Matt is just the nicest, gentlest person in Artists Alley, so go talk to him.

What a haul! Lesniewski's combination of techniques of stipple and crosshatching are texture and dimension defining within the animated styled outlines.
