DescriptionOne last piece of business from last year before we move on to the new stuff. The most excellent Tatiana from TD Art Gallery notified me last year that her team had one of my mystery sketches but due to a problem with deadlines it was being re-assigned. Communication with her is always clear and fast. I suggested that, if it was ready in time, she bring it to #OAX2024.In the meantime, a good friend of mine had commissioned Ryan Odagawa (repped by Tatiana) ahead of the show and the result shared on social media was an absolute knockout! That piece definitely put Ryan on my radar and I was thrilled to find out that he was going to be taking care of my mystery sketch. Take care of it he did indeed! WOW! The edge-to-edge tonal work here is above and beyond what I expect from these pieces and I'm stunned by the result. Ryan is taking it up a notch, and I am excited to see what comes next. Leia is fetching in her imprisonment. The artist maintains Leia's dignity in the face of danger. She lives and dies as royalty and nobility. I agree that Tatiana is a great rep.

Gorgeous! Love that she's looking right at the viewer, and the muted copic color tons are top notch. One of Ryan's best IMO - big congrats!
