Description

Beautiful large (54cm x 37vm) color artwork (ink with watercolor & gouache) by Peter Madsen for his long-running acclaimed Valhalla series. This might be one of the most famous images he ever created�he started Valhalla in 1977 and created this artwork in 1981 for a poster to advertise in the FDB (today COOP) supermarket chain. Later it was reused as the cover to the Danish/Swedish 2nd edition of the first issue (in Germany it was directly used as the cover to the book #1 in 1987)�

I watched the movie as a kid back in 1986/87 and have been a fan ever since�so I�m more than happy to add this beauty to my collection� :-))

Wonderful mix of animation fantasy and Norse mythology. A Danish classic, but looking at the art, it could have fascinated young children from anywhere.
