Agent Venom character designs / concept art
by Tony Moore & Rick Remender
Marvel Comics - 2010

I was fortunate enough to pick up this character design from Tony Moore at the 2013 New York Comic Con. Tony told me these were the first drawings he ever did for Agent Venom and they were drawn while he was on the phone with series writer, Rick Remender. Tony sketched these design concepts while he and Rick talked about the new Flash Thompson/Agent Venom character. Tony also mentioned he later touched up the full figure sketch digitally and added the feet.

These designs were used in several articles around December, 2011 to promote the new series and to show the new Agent Venom. The head sketches were also published at the end of Amazing Spider-man #651 in "Point of Interest" with editor Stephen Wacker, which led up to Agent Venom's first story appearance in Amazing Spider-Man #654.

It's also been really neat seeing the custom and licensed figures being done based on this design. Many thanks to Tony Moore and crew for parting with this piece at NYCC.
