Description

This is a sketch cover commission of Archangel of the X-men done by Clayton Crain on October 19th, 2013. It was done with acrylic paints. As incredible as it may be, he is so efficient with putting out work, I have a picture of Clayton at a convention painting this piece and 4 others all in a line at the same time.

It's so good that some of these areas that he painted doesn't need the ink outline. Crain has the image worked out completely in his head before applying paint.
