DescriptionHands down the most involved I've ever been with a commission process. Usually I prefer to let an artist do their thing and tend to be MINIMALLY involved. This time, however, Paul kept sending questions, and didn't seem to be put off by my meandering answers, and I think in the end his process worked to produce a perfect image.Thank you, Paul, for taking the time to approach this commission so meaningfully. I started with a character and together we managed to whittle it down to quite a specific moment in x-continuity. Paul kept me involved at every step of the way, and it really felt like a collaborative process. Even better, it was a collaborative process in which the other person did 99.99% of the work! :-P The supporting material that Paul includes add layers of nuance to the piece as you can visually see his process unfolding, and also the painstaking work that he does in the background. It really is a wonderful look into the artists' process - and illuminates the 'work not shown' that many of us may take for granted. There was a final surprise, which I will not reveal, but instead save for anyone who commissions him. You will not be disappointed. Paul can be found on Instagram @paul_limgenco P.S. Yes, that's Clint. P.P.S. Paul let me know that there is going to be a feature on him as an artist at the Portsmouth Comic Con and this piece was used to create a poster! Very cool! Social/Sharing |

In another era, or cross-dimension, this would be a Saturday Evening Post cig ad.

Bon Jovi approves. It's seriously impressive work, but the attention to detail really gets me. I really like the tire tracks on the ground, what a great detail to include. The image has that Alex Ross realness to it. And his color work is excellent, too. Great commission, and I love seeing the process. Congrats!

Truly amazing to see all of the process that went into this. The end result shows all the hard work and design study that went into it.

What a beautiful pallette! I love blue and orange. Tremendous staging of the subject and really effective use of perspective.

Outstanding piece, man! Love the upward perspective choice, colors, and that background. Kinda reminds of northern AZ. I very well may need to look into a commission myself! Congrats!
