Description

Always loved this cover from Martin. The composition of the piece is perfectly considered to portray a psychic battle on several fronts. As usual, a true mixed-media piece from the most interesting artist in comics. This arc in particular really exemplified what the ethos of the New Mutants was/is meant to be - acceptance and collaboration - yielding more fastball specials than you can shake a stick at.

It�s also nice to have a piece highlighting one of the X-men�s oldest foes here in the Shadow King. Love it!!!

Just perfect. Reminds me of Shadow King from the Legion series... my fave character from my fave Marvel show.

This is beautiful AND thought-provoking. I especially love yondu's fin on top almost blending in with the red color choice on the rest of the page. Hmm, now that I think of it, I don't remember Yondu wearing glasses.
