DescriptionThere're certain artists I'd jump at the chance to get a commission, and Russell was one of them. And it's even better when the opportunity doesn't disappoint!Moonstar is the mutant with some of the richest mythology, and Russell really dived in to all of it. From the mystic demon bear that terrorized her and her family, her ties to Asgard and the Valkyries with Brightwind... to her mutant powers, conjuring her spirit lance. Russell’s work has only gotten richer with time, and this piece IMO embodies that. Huge thanks to Wayne for helping make this happen. 11x17 Social/Sharing |

The inks are wet and drips with all the magical elements to symbolize the spiritual journey of Dani Moonstar.

GORGEOUS PCR piece, with all the PCR hallmarks--brilliant organic design, emotive posting, mythical storytelling. Such a great idea for a commission!

Dani-1 Demon Bear- 0. She's getting that spear, DB. Wow, this is a lovely commission from Russell. I love the balance of the image, and the fantastic ink work. And the composition is killer. Those negative raindrops are soo good. Awesome stuff. Congrats!
