I've been envious of the commissions I've seen posted over the years, so I made sure to get on Tom's list the last time it opened up. I gave him a pretty broad prompt, and he completely ran with it in the best possible way. I did not request Technet, so there's no way he knew about my love of Alan Davis' work. For me, this commission completely encapsulates the best of the original New Mutants series.

Wow, it looks like Fowler's art astyle is starting to blend in with Bret Blevins' style! Great acting, makes the figures really come alive!

Fowler manages to not only exceed expectations by filling it with linework excitement, but also infuses a joy in the subject matter as the New Mutants are getting one over on Technet.

I gotta get a Fowler commish soon! Great storytelling AND illustration, corner to corner. Gotta love how the team's getting a kick out of the goings on :) Also reminds me a bit of Blevins, which of course is a good thing. Congrats!

Tom is amazing, and yes, he's a big Alan Davis fan! New Mutants vs. the Technet seems like an untold story that we need to see someday!
