For a number one issue, expectations are subverted with Dredd taking a back seat as the werewolf howl dominates this cover. This new presentation in the mid 80's shows the great Dillon cover design talent that made him a unique talent.

I hope those are glue stains and not blood stains from the previous owner, who you killed. Lol. Why is this covered in stains and are you going to get it restored?

Its mainly a stat with bit glued on for the QC cover hence the state of it!

Steve was probably looking at his girlfriend and too lazy to redraw the werewolf. I remember reading a hilarious account, where he discussed going crazy drawing werewolves when the weather was good and wanted to be outside, enjoying himself, which explains the rushed nature of the later episodes of this story. Steve did a lot of rushed work. Did he even like drawing comics? Lol. I presume the Dredd figure is the hand drawn part?
