DescriptionI was attempting to put together a small stash of Paul Abrams art and came across this Conan piece on Anthony's website and was able to pick it up on caf show. I haven't called the phone number listed and I hope you don't either.Social/Sharing |

This is pretty rad, Paul taught me basic comic art drawing on weekends in New Paltz way way back, like 91/92ish. Cool to see the Rosendale PO box..

Yea man, no worries, he was a cool dude,I was a young teen with a hopeful future in comics... He was very 70's influenced I realised when I got older, Frazetta style I would say... There was a few comic artists living in the catskills( up state NY ) at that time to my knowledge, Dan Green, John Muth, J.M. Dematteis, etc etc. Check my Bio section on my comic art page for some pics...

Nicely composed scene with solid figures in deadly battle! I really like how he designed the action so the figures are clearly engaging each other while both facing the "camera". Great choices with the poses, relative positioning of the figuers, and how he spotted his blacks and framed the action
