DescriptionA breathtaking and masterful work from one of the most iconic artists in comic history—this 20 x 30 inch (50.8 x 76.2 cm) original piece by John Byrne, penciled and inked in 2007, is a powerful tribute to his legendary run on Uncanny X-Men. Inspired by the unforgettable Savage Land double-page spread from issue #115 (1978), originally brought to life with Terry Austin, this piece channels the energy, scale, and drama that made Byrne’s X-Men era a defining moment in comics.More than a homage, this artwork feels like a time capsule. Byrne’s singular style and cinematic storytelling rekindle the wonder of that era, reminding us why his vision remains etched in the hearts of fans worldwide. A heartfelt thank you to Jim Warden for making this treasure part of my collection. Social/Sharing |

Just a FANTASTIC re-imagining of the Uncanny #115 Holy Grail DPS. And since most of us don't have the seven figures it would take to even attempt to pry that away from the current owner, this beautiful homage is something that any collector would be happy to settle for. I absolutely love how Byrne reframed the image to a vertical shot. John really put a ton of work into this. Congratulations!

A chance to quote a good Spider-Man Sauron meme should never be passed up.
